ONE DAY NATIONAL CONFERENCE ON “ADVANCES IN SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT” ORGANIZED BY AGRICULTURAL COLLEGE, JAGTIAL IN ASSOCIATION WITH INDIAN SCIENCE CONGRESS ASSOCIATION ON 22.03.2024

A one day National conference on “Advances in Science and Technology for sustainable development organized by Agricultural College, Jagtial in association with Indian Science Congress Association on 22.03.2024. Multidisciplinary faculty, research scholars and students from Agricultural, Veterinary, Medical Sciences, Engineering and Technology have participated in the National conference. The organizing secretaries Dr. Odela Sampath, Assistant Professor, Dr. Rondla Sai Kumar, Assistant Professor and Dr. T. Yella Goud, Assistant Professor have organized the conference. Dr. Bharati Narayan Bhat, Associate Dean, Agricultural College, Jagtial has given the conference welcome address. The chief guest Dr. K.Seetharam Babu, ISCA- Executive Member has highlighted the importance of science and technology in sustainable development and stressed the importance of multidisciplinary science conferences in growth and development of the nation. Further, Dr. G. Sreenivas, Associate Director of Research, RARS, Jagtial delivered a key note address on climate risk management in Agriculture. He briefly projected the importance of new technologies in agriculture for the progress of the nation. Later, Prof. Kamakshi Prasad, Principal, University College of Engineering, JNTU, Jagtial delivered a key note address on advances in computing system- impact on social and economical growth and Dr. T. Madhava Rao, Associate Dean, College of Veterinary Sciences, Korutla delivered lecture on recent emerging trends in farm, companion and wild animal medicine and surgery for veterinary practitioners. In this conference Dr. L. Ramulu, Superintendent, Government Civil Hospital, Jagtial focused on sustainable development. A total of 250 delegates from different disciplines have presented oral and poster presentations. In brief the National Conference focused on the integration of multidisciplinary sciences in achieving the sustainable development of the nation with advances in science and technology. The faculty, Dr. K. Jhansi Rani, Dr. D, Saidanaik, Dr. B. Sowjanya, Dr. P. Sadvi, Er. G. Pragna, Mr. S. Srinivas naik, Dr. G. Satyanarayana Reddy, Dr. E Rajinikanth, Dr. D. Padmaja, Dr. Rajini Devi and Dr. N. Sainath acted as organizing committee members for the national conference.
