KVK, Palem - Rythu Sadassu cum Agriculture Exhibition was organized by RAWEP students in collaboration with KVK, Palem at Khnapur Village, Bijinepally (M), Nagarkurnool (Dist.) on 06.04.2024. Dr.M. Malla reddy, Associate Director of Research, RARS, Palem, Agriculture inaugurated the exhibition stalls and visited the models prepared by the students and appreciated their efforts. Students displayed and explained the concepts, themes in brief of new innovative agricultural technologies. The students arranged about 38 models as a part of the agriculture exhibition. Around 178 number of farmers from different villages have utilized the opportunity and visited the exhibition models. Dr.B.Pushpavathi, Associate Dean, Agriculture College, Palem appreciated the RAWE students about the model & exhibits and suggested famers to adopt new technologies as per changing farming situations. Dr.T.Prabhakar Reddy, Programme Coordinator, KVK, Palem briefed about the alternate crops to paddy and income generation methods in field & horticultural crops. Smt. Neeti, MAO, Bijinepally appreciated the RAWE programme students for exhibiting new technology models and praised KVK, Palem in delivering good and timely services to the farming community. Dr.O.Shaila (SMS- PP), Dr.B.Rajashekhar, (SMS-Extension), Mr. K. Ramakrishna, SMS(Crop production), Dr.A.Shankar (SMS-Horticulture), Mrs.E.Jyoshna (SMS-Home Science), Dr.T. Archana (Asst.Professor, AGC, Palem) were addressed the farmers about the best management practices in yasangi crops and stressed on the importance of Rural Agricultural Work Experience Programme in imparting practical knowledge into the students. In this programme. Dr.M. Malla reddy, Associate Director of Research, RARS, Palem Dr.B.Pushpavathi, Associate Dean, Agriculture College. Palem, Dr.T.Prabhakar Reddy (PC, KVK, Palem), Smt. Neeti, MAO, Bijinepally, KVK staff and 178 farmers a total of 234 members were participated.
