The Rythu Nestam live programme [Episode-3] conducted at Electronic Wing Studio, PJTSAU, Hyderabad on 26.3.2024 from 10.00 AM – 12.00 PM with scientists from Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University (PJTSAU), officials from department of agriculture along with farmers from 110 rythuvedika’s of Telangana. At the outset, the programme started with Dr M. Goverdhan, Principal Scientist (Agronomy) & Head, AICRP on Integrated Farming Systems, Hyderabad to motivate farmers towards “Integrated Farming Systems” and to address the complex challenges facing farmers while promoting sustainability, resilience, and socio-economic development through this multifaceted approach. Next session on “Drone Technologies in Agriculture” explained by Dr.N.Rama Gopala Varma, Principal Scientist (Entomology), Institute of Rice Research, Hyderabad with its autonomous flight capabilities to optimize resource usage and to respond promptly towards emerging issues such as pest and disease outbreaks or nutrient deficiencies. At the end of the session, Dr. B. Gopi, IAS, Director of Agriculture, Telangana assured that this pilot based ‘Rythu Nestham’ live programme will be expanded 2601 Rythu Vedikas in Telangana, and the programs designed based on the needs of the farmers including the information about the various schemes offered by the Government .The Ryhtu Nestam live programme was attended by Sri. B. Gopi, IAS , Director of Agriculture, Dr.M.Sreenivasulu, Coordinator and Scientists of Electronic Wing along with farmers and Department Oficials form Agriculture and allied sectors at 110 Rythu Vedikas across the state.
