Three Days Training Programme on Value Added Fish Products Under Tribal Sub Plan (TSP) Conducted At KVK, Kampasagar From 01-07-2020 To 03-07-2020

On Day 1 Dr. M. A. Aariff Khan, Programme Coordinator & Head, KVK, Kampasagar Chaired the inaguaral session and briefed about the importance of Value Added Fish products for higher income in off season and requested to utilize the benefit of the training programme. Ms. J. Jeshwanthi, SRF(Fisheries) tranining programme i/c explained about the identification of freshness of fish and preservation of fish by drying, salting, smoking and marination. On Day 2 SRF (Fisheries) explained about the importance of value added fish products and practical session was taken by Master Trainer Smt. Veeramani preparation of fish pickles, fish spirals and fish pakoda by involving trainees. On final day SRF (Fisheries) showed the preparation of batter and breaded products like fish balls, fish cutlets and packaging materials used in storage of value added products. In afternoon session Valedictory function Dr. M. A. Aariff Khan, Programme Coordinator & Head released Training Manual on preparation of Value Added Fish Products and distributed to trainees, encouraged and motivated women farmers to initiate products preparation at small scale. Finally feedback also taken from Tribal women trainees. Trainees felt happy and satisfaction for undergoing training programme.
