The 5 day International Agronomy Congress had been concluded here on 27-11-2021. Dr Ashok Dalwai, CEO, National Rainfed Authority has attended as chief guest for valedictory programme held at University Auditorium. while speaking at the valedictory programme Dr Ashok Dalwai said that, to ensure the sustainability in agriculture there is a need of eco system based approach in agriculture is very much essential he added. To face the new challenges in agriculture, there is need of paradigm shift in agriculture is very much required and implementation of digital agriculture, nano technology, secondary agriculture is to be taken up in a large scale he said. he suggested the agronomists must play an important role in adoption of new modern agricultural technologies in the farmers fields, for which agronomists and extension scientists should work together and convince the farmers about new technologies he said. Dr Dalwai said that, Hyderabad is a hub of agriculture and def fence research and becomes the hub of modern technology. with the efforts of ICAR and state agricultural universities India has becomes the super power in agriculture sector he added. Dr AK singh, Deputy Director General (Extension), ICAR, New Delhi was also spoke on the occasion and said that, nutritional security and food security must go hand in hand for ensuring of food safety and nutritional security in the country. Dr V. Praveen Rao, Vice-Chancellor, PJTSAU had gave the 5day conference overview and deliberations held on various topics during the Congress. he said that, the policy document of recomendations arrived from this Congress would be submitted to state and central governments he added. Dr.V.K. Singh, Dr. Ravindrachary, Dr. Yakadri, Dr. Mahender Kumar were also present. several awards and merit certificates were presented to the participants.
