Celebrations of Independence Day at College of Food Science and Technology, Rudrur on 15-08-2020

On 15.08.2020, 74rth Independence Day was celebrated at College of Food Science and Technology, Rudrur campus. All the teaching, non-teaching and outsourcing staff have participated in the programme. The programme was started at 8.00 a.m. with the welcome address by Mrs. Prashanthi Meda, Assistant Professor and Officer In-Charge of Student Activities, CFST, Rudrur. All the staff paid tributes to the portraits of Gandhiji and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. Then, Dr. R. Swamy, Associate Dean of the college unfurled the national flag. This was followed by our National Anthem sung by all the participants. Then the series of speeches started, first assistant professors, Dr. T.V.N. Padmavathi, Mrs. B. Amala, Mr. Sai Prasad and Dr. R. Jayaprakash, followed by the Associate Dean. He has spoken over the occasion and explained about the contributions of several freedom fighters in achieving independence. He encouraged all the staff to work hard with commitment and unity for the growth of the institute. He also reminded the duties of all functionaries. The associate dean also instructed all the staff to follow the COVID 19 precautions in and out of the campus and take care of their health. With this speech the programme was concluded. All the protocols of Corona virus (COVID 19) were strictly followed during the event.
