76th Republic Day Celebration at College of Community Science, Saifabad on 26.01.2025

The 76th Republic Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotism on 26th January 2025, started at 8:50 a.m. at the College of Community Science, Saifabad. The event brought together teaching and non-teaching staff, undergraduate and postgraduate students, lab school children, and their parents to honor this significant occasion. The celebration begin with the Republic Day significance as it marks the adoption of the Indian Constitution on January 26, 1950, establishing India as a sovereign, democratic republic. It celebrates the nation's unity, diversity, and commitment to the principles of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity. The program commenced with a warm welcome to the chief guest, Mr. Hoturu Kopresa Chari, Member in Ministry of Textiles, Associate Dean, as well as teaching and non-teaching staff and students. Dr. G. Swarupa Rani, Assistant Professor and Officer-in-Charge of Student Affairs, presented the chief guest's biodata. This was followed by the ceremonial flag hoisting, where Mr. Chari, accompanied by his spouse, unfurled the national flag. In his keynote address, Mr. Chari emphasized the significance of India's handloom sector and textile industry, inspiring the audience with his insightful thoughts. Following his speech, the cultural program began, adding vibrancy and spirit to the event. The cultural performances commenced with a patriotic song by the tiny tots from the lab school, evoking feelings of pride and devotion among the audience. Next, a lively group dance was performed by first-year B.Sc. (Hons) CCSc students — L. Bhargavi, Sai Pravalika, J. Nandhini, T. Shalini, and P. Jeshmitha. The performances continued with staff and students collectively singing patriotic songs, further enriching the celebratory atmosphere. The event concluded with vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Khushi, a fourth-year student, who expressed gratitude to all participants, organizers, and attendees for their valuable contributions and unwavering support. The program was effectively coordinated by Dr. G. Swarupa Rani, OSA under the guidance of Dr. V. Vijaya Lakshmi, Associate Dean, C.C.Sc. In conclusion, the 76th Republic Day celebration was a resounding success, marked by a deep sense of patriotism, cultural vibrancy, and communal harmony.
