Agricultural College, Warangal celebrated the 78th Independence Day on 15th August, 2024. Dr. M. Balram, Associate Dean hoisted the national flag and paid floral tributes to freedom fighters and national leaders. On this occasion, Associate Dean addressed the gathering about the importance of Independence Day and specified about the great sacrifices of the freedom fighters who lost their lives just to make our motherland free from the British rule. He also mentioned the role of youth and agricultural professionals to make our nation a developed country or VIKSIT Bharat by 2047. He addressed the assemblage that how India is progressed in agriculture, technology, pharmacy and medicine in the past 77 years. The NCC cadets of Agricultural College, Warangal have participated in a parade on the occasion of 78th Independence Day and saluted the national flag and chief guest. The students of II year B.Sc. (Hons) Ag. have given a performance on patriotism. Later Dr. M. Balram, Associate Dean and Dr. B. Vidhyadhar, Radio club i/c released the logo and QR code of youtube channel and Instagram handle of Chitchat radio club, where students are regularly going to share their views and thoughts. Dr. M. Balram, Associate Dean have distributed the certificates to NCC cadets for their participation in Combined Annual Training Camp-6 conducted from 05th to 14th August 2024 and to the students who have participated in National Kick Boxing Championship held at Mapusa, Goa from 24th to 28th July, 2024 and the NSS volunteer, who got best volunteer award and second position in NSS National Integration Camp, held at Bangalore City University from 14th to 20th June 2024. All Teaching, non-teaching, out sourcing staff and students of Agricultural College, Warangal have participated in the programme. The celebrations ended with the distribution of refreshments.
