78th Independence Day Celebrations at APT, Palem on 15.08.2024

Agricultural Polytechnic, Palem has celebrated 78th Independence Day on 15.08.2024 at 09:00 AM. On this occasion the teaching staff, non-teaching staff and students of APT, Palem along with students of APT, Narayanpet have participated in Flag Hoisting ceremony. First of all, the national flag was hoisted by Dr. M. Malla Reddy, Principal, APT, Palem & Associate Director of Research, STZ and all the staff and students sang the National Anthem to pay homage to the nation. Later, the principal gave impressive speech about the historic day and the efforts of numerous freedom fighters of India and stressed the importance of role of younger generations in the building up the nation to 3rd largest economy in the world. Further, he also said that every one of us should take responsible for development of new varieties, innovative technologies which are useful for the development of agriculture, eradication of malnutrition by nutritional food security to future generations and also providing fruitful extension activities for the benefit of farming community. Later, all the staff members along with students attended the Independence Day celebrations at ADR office, RARS, STZ, Palem. The students of APT, Palem & Narayanpet also gave impressive speech regarding the Independence Day and sang the patriotic songs. Finally, the programme was concluded with the distribution of refreshments to the staff and students at APT, Palem.
