On the Eve of 93rd ICAR Foundation Day Celebrations, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Kampasagar has conducted Tree Plantation Drive at KVK, Instructional farm, field bunds and Dykes of Fish pond. On the occasion, Dr.M.Shankaraiah, Programme Coordinator briefed about the importance and need of boundary/bund plantation on farm lands to enhance tree coverage for environmental security and to provide additional returns to the farmers through diversification of land use systems. Coconut, Mango and Drumstick plants were planted as a part of Agri-Horti-Aquaculture system. Dr.M.Govardhan, Head, ARS, Dr.Swarnalatha Devi, Principal, APT, Kampasagar, Dr.M.Shankar, SMS, Plant Protection, Dr.T.Bharath, SMS, Crop Production, T.Himabindu, SMS, Horticulture, S.Pallavi, SMS, Extension, A.Sai Kiran, SMS, Agrometerology, Non-Teaching staff and farmers (30No.) participated in the programme.
