A high level review meeting on the proposed crop colonies was held under the chairmanship of Dr.V. Praveen Rao, Vice-Chancellor, PJTSAU at Administrative building on 10-01-2019. Dr. S.K. Singh, Director, National Bureau of Soil Survey and Land Use Planning, Nagpur, Sri. Vijayakumar, Additional Director, Department of Agriculture, Telangana, Dr. D.Raji Reddy, Director of Extension, and Dr. R. Jagadeshwar, Director of Research, PJTSAU also were present at the meeting.
Dr. Singh appreciated the Chief Minister of Telangana State Sri. K. Chandra Shekhar Rao regarding initiate to establish crop colonies in the State will help in the development of agriculture and welfare and said this idea of crop colonies should be adopted in all States. The meeting decided to conduct a high level workshop with officers of Agriculture and Industries on February 5 and 6, 2019 to finalise a report and a road map on crop colonies.
Dr. V. Praveen Rao said that help will be sought from the National Institute of Food Technologies Entrepreneurship and Management (NIFTEM), Vice Chancellor Dr. Ch. Vasudevappa and other Scientists.
