DAATTC, Karimnagar organized an Awareness Programme on Direct Seeding of Rice (Virtual Mode) along with the Department of Agriculture, Vemulawada Division, Rajanna Sircilla District

An ‘Awareness Programme on Direct Seeding of Rice’ organized by DAATTC, Karimnagar for Extension functionaries consisting of Mandal Agricultural Officers, Agriculture Extension Officers of Department of Agriculture, Vemulawada Division, Rajanna Sircilla District on 19-06-2021 from DAATTC, Karimnagar through virtual mode (ZOOM). Sri. K. Shekar, Scientist (Crop Production) & Coordinator, DAATTC, Karimnagar has explained the improved management practices to be followed under Dry Direct Seeding & Wet Direct Seeding of Rice through power point presentation & shown Demonstration videos of DSR to the participants. Dr. P. Revathi, Scientist (Agron.), Rice Sheme, RARS, Polasa, Jagtial has explained the weed management practices under DSR method. Sri.V. Bhaskar, Assistant Director of Agriculture, Vemulawada Division, Rajanna Sircilla District has emphasized the Extension functionaries to popularize the cost saving technology among the farming community by gaining knowledge from this session. Dr. K. Madan Mohan Reddy, Scientist (ToT) has briefly explained about the Subscribing of PJTSAU You Tube channel & AKPS farmer’s registration respectively. The queries raised by MAO’s & AEO’s on field problems in rice were answered by the experts. Progressive farmers, District Level Coordination Committee members under DAATTC, Karimnagar and around 30 participants were attended in this session.
