DAATTC, Karimnagar organised Webinar on Present Agricultural operations and Pests Management in Major Field Crops on 08-09-2020

D.A.A.T.T.C., Karimnagar and ARS, Karimnagar combinely organized Webinar on present agricultural operations and pests management in major field crops entitled as “September masam lo chepattavalasina vyavasaya panulu mariyu vividha pantalalo sasyarakshana charyalu” at ARS, Karimnagar on 9th September, 2020 under the chairmanship of Dr. G. Manjulatha, Principal Scientist (Agro.) & Head. In this Webinar Dr. R. Uma Reddy, Associate Director of Research, RARS, Polasa has involved as a chief guest and addressed the gathering and delivered the need based agro advisories during the present situation. Thereafter Dr. G. Manjulatha, Principal Scientist (Agro.) & Head, ARS, Karimnagar addressed the farmers about prevailing conditions in the district and precautionary measures to control pest & diseases in major crops in the district. This webinar allowed the farmers to clear their doubts by communicating with the scientists. Majorly the farmer queries lied on the fertilizer management and precautionary measures for the management of Sucking pest, pink boll worm in Bt Cotton and Bacterial Leaf Blight, Stem borer and BPH in Rice Vanakalam, 2020. Agricultural Research Station scientists Dr. A. Viajayabhasker, Senior scientist; Dr. E. Rajinikanth, Scientist; Dr. Usharani, Scientist (Pl.Br.); Dr. D. Sravani, Scientist (Pl. Br.), DAATT Centre Coordinator – Sri. K. Shekar, Scientists –Dr. K. Madan Mohan Reddy & Mr. V. Ratnakar and RARS, Polasa Scientists- Dr. Omprakash & Dr. Balaram participated in the session and also 80 No. of farmers covering erstwhile Karimnagar District have participated.
