KVK, Palem organized black gram (Var. PU 31) seed, pheramone traps and vermibeds distribution programme under Scheduled Caste Sub Plan on 19.10.2020 at Chennapuraopalli Village of Kollapur Mandal. Dr. T. Prabhakar Reddy, Programme Coordinator briefed about the importance of rice fallow pulse production technology for efficient utilization of soil moisture and restoring the soil fertility. Mr. M. Raashekhar, SMS, Plant Protection has explained about utilization of pheramone traps for the control of pests in black gram. Mr. K. Ramakrishna, SMS crop production has explained about integrated crop management practices to achieve the higher yields in pulses. Total 32 farmers were attended the programme from Chennapuraopalli village of Kollapur Mandal.
