KVK, Palem organized Training programme on Sensitization on AKPS Programme on 10-09-2020

KVK, Palem organized Sensitization programme on AKPS on 10th September, 2020 at Gorita village of Thimmajipet mandal, Nagarkurnool dist. Dr. T. Prabhakar Reddy, Programme Coordinator, KVK, Palem emphasized the need to acquire the need-based agriculture information from various sources especially which are cost effective and more reliable. In this context the AKPS (Interactive Information dissemination system model) facility created by PJTSAU may be fully utilized to harness the potential of ICT technologies. The utility of toll-free number (1800-425-3141) facility has to be used by the farmers. Mr. B. Rajashekar, SMS (Extension) has explained the importance of the program and gave a brief sketch of implementation and usage of AKPS and procedure of UMAG app at Gorita. A total of 5400 farmers were registered till now in AKPS at KVK, Palem. In this platform we are sending information to the farmers both text and voice messages. In this programme Dr. T. Prabhakar Reddy, Programme Coordinator, KVK, Palem, Mr. B. Rajashekar, SMS (Extension), Mr. M. Rajashekhar, SMS(PP), Mr. Muralidhar Reddy, Sarpanch and 36 farmers were participated.
