PJTSAU SIGNED M o U WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF HOHENHEIM, GERMANY on 13-11-2018

The Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between University of Hohenheim, Germany and PJTSAU on 13.11.2018 at Stuttgart, Germany represented by Prof. Stephan Dabbert President, University of Hohenheim, Ekkard Schoreder, German Project Team Leader and Dr. S. Sudheer Kumar, Registrar, PJTSAU. The other dignitaries present were Franziska Schenk, Joint Director, Office of International affairs, Prof. Dr. Michael Kruse from University of Hohenheim and Dr. R. Jagadeeshwar, Director of Research from PJTSAU. The purpose of signing of MoU is to develop cooperation on the basis of equality and reciprocity and to promote relations and mutual understanding between the two institutions to carryout the following activities.

  1. Development and implementation of Joint Research projects in field of crop improvement, Seed Science & Technology and Crop Protection.
  2. Exchange of faculty and students.
  3. Organization of joint academic, scientific and technological activities such as guest lectures, workshops, symposiums or seminars etc.
  4. Exchanging scientific protocol, materials, publications and other relevant information.

The PJTSAU delegation visited various labs and Agricultural experimentation station at Stuttgart on 12.11.2018 and interacted with the scientists on various ongoing projects besides, visited Seed processing facilities of KWS Kios and Pioneer Dupont Seeds at Germany on 14.11.2018.

Under Indo-German Collaborative project on seed sector development 3 scientists of PJTSAU were undergoing two months training on Seed Science & Technology under the supervision of Dr. Michael Kruse, Chair to Seed Science & Technology, University of Hohenheim from October 1stFN – December 1st FN, 2018.
