Training Programme on Fertilizers Management based on Soil Health Card Results & Agricultural Inputs Distribution Programme under SC Sub Plan in Adopted Village Veldhurthi on 01-07-2021 Organized by RARS, Jagtial

Regional Agricultural Research Station, Polasa has organized Agricultural input distribution programme under SC Sub plan in adopted village Veldhurthi of Jagtial mandal, Jagtial district. The programme was inaugurated by Dr. M. Sanjay Kumar, MLA, Jagtial Constituency, Smt. D. Vasantha, ZP chairperson, Jagtial and Dr P Jagan Mohan Rao, ADR, RARS, Jagtial. Dr. P. Jaganmohan Rao, ADR, RARS, Jagtial briefed about SC Sub plan main objectives, implementation, the activities conducted and to be conducted in the adopted village. Besides, he emphasized on soil testing importance and suggested the famers to follow balanced nutrient management for the crops to get sustainable yields. Dr M Sanjay Kumar, MLA, Jagtial constituency, appreciated the RARS team for organizing trainings, awareness programmes on new technologies and SC sub plan. Also suggested the farmers to follow new technologies to reduce cost of cultivation without compromising the yields. Smt. D. Vasantha garu, ZP chairperson, suggested the farmers to include organics along with inorganic fertilizers to restore soil health. Mr. B. Praveen, Sarpanch, Veldhurthy village, spoke about the good initiative taken by RARS, Polasa for adopting the village and extended his support to the programme. Dr. P. Ravi, Scientist (SS & AC) spoke about the input distribution under SC sub plan and create awareness on fertilizers management in different crops based on soil health card results. Dr. A. Krishna Chaitanya, scientist (SSAC) spoke about collection of soil samples and soil testing and inferences of soil test results. Agriculture inputs i.e. Urea bags, vermicompost bags, Tarpaulins and Drum seeders were distributed by Dr. M. Sanjay Kumar gaaru, MLA, Jagtial constituency and all the distinguished guests to 40 SC farmers under SCSP in AICRP on LTFE, and also distributed 120 soil health cards to farmers of the village.Sri. P. Madukar Rao and Dr. P. Madukar interacted with the farmers about the rice verities and crop management. In this programme, Mr. Ch Venu Reddy, RA, LTFE, Gangarajam Goud, MPP, Jagtial, Mahipal Reddy, PACS chairman, Ramya sri, Vice sarpanch, Veldhurthy, Mr. Harish, AEO, Veldhurthy and around 80 no farmers have participated in the meeting.
