Organized T&V Monthly workshop through web conference by RARS, Polasa, Jagtial on 11-09-2020

Regional Agricultural Research station, Polasa, Jagtial organized web conference on T&V monthly wokshop. The online meeting was chaired by of Associate Director of Research, Dr.R. Uma Reddy. In this programme DAO, Jagtial, ADAs, MAOS and AEOs have been participated. The programme was organized by Smt.P. Sadvi, Scientist (Extension). In this programme queries raised by agricultural officers of Jagtial, related to pest and diseases of major crops noticed in their mandals were answered by the ADR. As per the discussions Mainly the pests i.e. stem borer, hispa, gall midge incidence and diseases i.e. Bacterial blight were noticed in paddy, in cotton Sucking pest incidence and wilt incidence , in Turmeric leaf blotch and Rhizome rot, in Soybean yellow mosaic virus, in Redgram Helicoverpa , Maruca spotted worm were observed in the district. Sri.S. Omprakash answered the queries on plant protection measures in paddy, maize, redgram , soybean and cotton and Sri.N. Balram responded to the queries on disease control measures in major crops of the district. In this programme success stories of innovative farmers were presented by the agricultural officers. At the end ADR also suggested the officials of state department of agriculture to create wide awareness on green manuring, soil health management, pest and disease resistant varieties to the farmers.
