T& V Monthly workshop was conducted at RARS, Jagtial on 20.06.2020 by state department of Agriculture, Jagtial. In this workshop Sri.G. Ravi, IAS, Collector and district magistrate, Jagtial, Sri.B. Rajesham, Joint Collector, Jagtial, Associate Director of Research, Dr.R. Uma Reddy, Sri. Suresh, DAO, Jagtial , All ADAs, MAOs, AEOs of Jagtial district and, Scientists from Regional Agricultural Research Station, Jagtial had participated. The discussions were held on seasonal conditions, pest problems, fertilizer management, Rice varieties, agronomy, Cotton varieties and agronomy and regarding regulated cultivation. The scientists explained about the mentioned topics to the field staff through power point presentations. The officials of state department of agriculture expressed the field level problems and feedback of the farmers about cultivation of different varieties in Paddy, Redgram, Cotton and Maize. The new agricultural policy of the government regarding crop diversification and regulated cultivation has been discussed. Later District Collector and the team visited the Cold Pressed Oil Extraction Unit and Mat Nursery at RARS, Jagtial. The working of the oil extraction unit and raising of Mat nursery was explained to him by Associate Director of Research, Dr.R. Uma Reddy. Speaking to the Officers of state department of Agriculture, collector said that they should be available to the farmers for providing agro advisories as and when needed and motivate the farmers on the benefits of regulated agriculture suggested by the government and told that the district is fortunate to have a research station and urged the scientists of the research station to make farmers adopt the new technologies in Agriculture.
