Agricultural Education Day conducted at Agricultural College, Polasa, Jagtial on 03-12-2023

Agricultural College, Polasa, Jagtial has organized the Agricultural Educational Day on 3rd December, 2023 to commemorate the birth anniversary of first Indian Union Agriculture Minister (1946) and the first President of Independent India, Bharat Ratna, Dr. Rajendra Prasad as Agricultural Education Day in India. On this occasion, 300 students from three schools i.e., Sri Chaitanya E-Techno School, Alphores High School and Millennium High School from Jagtial have visited our college. Dr. Bharati Narayan Bhat, Associate Dean addressed the school students about importance of Agricultural Education and appealed the students to pursue agriculture in future to feed the nation. Exhibits like equipments, charts, tools, seeds, insects displayed in the laboratories. Teaching faculty explained the students about importance of various subjects like Agronomy, Entomology, Soil Science and Agril. Chemistry, Genetics and Plant Breeding, Plant Pathology, Horticulture, Agril. Engineering, Microbiology etc., in the laboratories. Further, these students visited various ELP (Experiential learning programme) units i.e., sericulture unit, poly house, vermicompost, mushroom unit and sweet corn production.
