Mobile Agri Support Services ( MASS) mounted vehicle was inaugurated by Sri Singireddy Niranjan Reddy garu, Honble Agril. Minister, Govt. of Telangana in presence of Sri M. Raghunandan Rao garu, IAS, Secretary, Agriculture, Govt. of Telangana & Honble Vice-chancellor, PJTSAU, Smt. Suseela Chitala madam, CGM, NABARD, Dr.V.Sudharani, Director of Extension & Dr. Raghurami Reddy, Director of Research as part of NABARD project on "Phygital Facilitation for Enhancing Profitability of Farming Community" to reach the last mile farmer, being implemented collaboratively by Extension Education Institute ( EEI)-PJTSAU, EEE Pvt Ltd & NABARD in aspirational dists of Telangana. Dr.M.Jagan Mohan Reddy, Director, EEI, Hyderabad, and P.I of the project, Dr.Prasad Pasam, Executive Director, EEE pvt.ltd were also present during the event.
MASS is an innovative PHYGITAL (PHYSICAL AND DIGITAL) platform, which helps the stakeholders from both public and private reach out to the farmers, women and rural youth with bilateral and multilateral information from the solution providers reaching the last mile. MASS is a mobile truck mounted container office which hosts mobile soil testing equipment, drones, weather stations, video conferencing, sales/ order booking, on-boarding of farmers, collect hyper local data to analyze and offer advisory services and appropriate products. It is equipped with appropriate subject matter experts to discuss with the farmers, solution providers, and the Government agencies working in the agriculture and allied sectors and offer turnkey solutions. MASS facilitates to reach out to the remotest areas, collect soil samples, land use plan survey, irrigation, fertigation, capacity building and market linkage. FPOs, and PACS can be enrolled and offer trainings for rural youth of the farm families in skills useful for agriculture and allied sectors expansion like, Agriculture Extension Service Providers, Soil Health Testers, ICT, E-Commerce, B2B Commerce, Micro Finance, Agri Insurance, Food Processing, Retail etc.
Proposed aspirational districts to test the MASS concept on Pilot Project mode are-
Kumrum Bheem Asifabad, Badadri Kothagudem, and Jayashankar Bhupalpally
Objectives of the project:
1. To document the hyper local data in the study area.
2. To facilitate the need based end to end services in selected crops.
3. To enable the farmers in smart decision making in management of selected crops.
4. To design an effective value chain in the selected crops.
5. To conduct the evaluation of initiative (MASS) introduced in the study area.
The project is sponsored by NABARD for an amount of Rs. Rs.22,13,000
Date of Commencement and Completion of the Project: 11th July, 2023 to 31st March, 2024.
