Agricultural College, Adilabad organized a Workshop on “An Intro to Competitive Exams” on 20.09.2024. The programme was started by Dr. M. Suresh, Officer Incharge Student Affairs by welcoming the guests, G. Praveen Kumar, Director, BC Study Circle, Adilabad and T. Roshi Reddy, Senior Advocate, Motivational speaker for competitive Exams, Adilabad on to the dias. Briefed about College strength and establishment year and students educational background for securing seat in B.Sc. (Hons.) Ag. etc. and introduced the Workshop Topic “An Intro to Competitive Exams”and significance of the programme. Later, Dr. Sreedhar Chauhan, Associate Dean in his welcome address briefed about the programme and introduced the guest speakers to the students & faculty. He was given overview of the programme. Sri G. Praveen Kumar, Director, BC Study Circle, Adilabad discussed the topic related to the “Career guidance on competitive exams” State & Central Govt. jobs to the students. He was focused on the importance of setting goals and making plans accordingly during the initial stages of under graduation. He guided the students that, three important things need to be kept in mind for succeeding in competitive exams. Those are need to improve good hearing capacity, concentration and reciting capacity and good projecting capacity. Need to be inculcate news paper reading habit daily and write at least 10 question every day for 365 days. This will help in building of knowledge on General Studies for various competitive exams. He also suggested that practice more number of model papers and improve skills. He was gisted that various State and Central Govt. job opportunities, model papers and exam patterns etc. T. Roshi Reddy, Senior Advocate, Motivational speaker for competitive exams, Adilabad, in his discussion stressed upon the topic “How to develop our career to succeed in Civil Services after graduation”. He motivated students towards goal, reaching through various successful techniques. He was emphasized the importance of dedicated effort for success in competitive examinations and delivered different success stories of Civil Service aspirants. In his speech enlightened students by overview of different subjects which are useful for competitive exams like Current affairs, Economy, Geography and History etc. At the end of program, an interaction session was held between the students and the chief guests. During this session, books were presented to selected students as a form of encouragement. As part of the programme, Dr. Sreedhar Chauhan had given concluding remarks by emphasizing the importance of Competitive Exams. A total of 25 B. Sc. (Hons.) Ag. students, has attended the programme along with Dr. M. Suresh, OISA; Dr. B. Rajeshwari, Professor (Plant Pathology); Dr. K. Bhanu Rekha, Professor (Agronomy) and other Teaching and Non-teaching staff of Agricultural College, Adilabad were participated in the event. The programme is ended with vote of thanks by Dr. M. Suresh, OISA, Agricultural College, Adilabad.
