Vanamahotsav celebrated at Agricultural College, Aswaraopet on 09-08-24

On 09-08-24, Agricultural College, Aswaraopet celebrated Vanamahotsav with a successful tree planting initiative led by the Incharge Associate Dean, Dr.I.V.Srinivas Reddy. This event featured the planting of 30 coconut saplings and 60 lemon saplings, contributing significantly to the college's environmental and agricultural goals. This programme began with a speech by the Associate Dean, highlighting the critical role of trees in enhancing ecological balance and supporting sustainable agricultural practices. The planting took place across designated areas in and around the college premises, with coconut saplings being placed in sunny spots to ensure their growth, while lemon saplings were planted in clusters to facilitate maintenance and irrigation. The event witnessed active involvement from students and faculty members emphasizing the collective effort required for effective environmental conservation. Looking ahead, the college plans to monitor the growth of these saplings and continue its commitment to sustainability through further green initiatives and educational programs. This Vanamahotsav not only enhanced the college’s green cover but also fostered a sense of environmental responsibility among the participants, setting a precedent for future conservation efforts.
