The World Soil Day was conducted by BJR Agricultural College, Sircilla at the adopted village Rallapeta, Rajanna Sircilla dist. on 05.12.2023

The World Soil Day was conducted by BJR Agricultural College, Sircilla on 05.12.2023 at the adopted village Rallapeta, Rajanna Sircilla dist. The Associate Dean, BJR Agricultural College, Sircilla, District Agricultural Officer (DAO) Mr. Bhaksar, IFFCO District manager Mr. Naresh, Mandal Agricultural Officer Mr. Naveen, Faculty, final year AELP students and farmers participated. The Managers from SBI, Sircilla Mr. Venu and Mr. Veeranjaneyulu were informed to attend the programme at Rallapeta. The programme started with the dance performance by 3rd year students on the importance of soil. The DAO delivered a guest lecture on importance of soil health and interacted with the farmers. Later, Soil health cards were distributed to farmers who had submitted soil sample to college AELP Unit for soil testing, followed by a demonstration on procedure of soil sample collection. Later an awareness rally on soil health importance was conducted in the village. At the end of the programme refreshments were distributed to all the participants. On the earlier day i.e., 04.12.2023 competitions were conducted for the students of B. Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture on Essay writing, Drawing and Slogan preparation. The winners were distributed prizes on 05.12.2023 in the College Auditorium. The following students received prizes in various categories:
