Village adoption team of Agricultural College Warangal, PJTSAU conducted diagnostic field visit at Damera village on 04.09.2021. Dr.G.Swathi, Dr.Ch.Anusha and Smt. L.Suhasini visited cotton, maize, turmeric and banana fields in the village. Method demonstration was conducted on installation of pheromone traps @ 4/acre in cotton field of Sri. Ch. Ravi for monitoring of pink bollworm. If each trap catch is more than 5-8 adult moths for three consecutive days, recommended spraying with Thiodicarb @ 1.5g/lit of water. Fall army worm incidence was noticed in maize (35-65days) for which farmers were advised to spray Emamectin benzoate @0.5ml/lit or Spinosad (Tracer)@0.3ml/lit. Due to heavy rains, as a precautionary measures, farmers were recommended to apply blitox /carbendazim @ 3 gm/lit or Ridomil-MZ @ 2 g/lit at root zone to control rhizome rot. Usage of polythene covers with 5 % holes were suggested for good quality hands in banana.
