Agricultural College, Warangal, PJTSAU conducted demonstration of pheromone traps for yellow stem borer in rice on 18-09-2021

Village adoption team of Agricultural College Warangal, PJTSAU visited various paddy fields of farmers in the village. Method demonstration was conducted on installation of pheromone traps @ 4/acre in paddy field of Sri. B. Chandar rao for monitoring of yellow stem borer. During the visit, observed gall midge incidence in paddy fields and recommended to apply carbofuran 3G granules @ 10kg/acre (or) fipronil @ 2.5 ml/lit and also explained integrated pest management practices to be followed in paddy for control of various pests. Dr.G.Swathi, Dr.Ch.Anusha and Smt. L.Suhasini and ten farmers have participated in the programme.
