Rythu dinotsavam in view of “Telangana Rashtra Avatarana Dashabdi Utsavalu” at Agricultural College, Warangal on 03.06.2023

As a part of Telangana Rashtra Avatarana Dashabdi Utsavalu, Rythu dinotsavam was organized at Agricultural College, Warangal on 03.06.2023. The programme was started with the brief introduction by Smt. K. Manasa, Assistant Professor (Agricultural Microbiology) followed by welcoming the dignitaries on the dais. In this programme Sri. Allam Bali Reddy, Sarpanch, Mariyapuram attended as chief guest. The programme was started with lighting of the lamp by the guests followed by invocation of University song. Initially, the faculty and the students of the college have given their speech on the developments in the Telangana state after its formation since, 2014. Later Dr. R. Uma Reddy, ADR, RARS, Warangal spoke about the developments of university regarding varieties released & technologies adopted and popularized among the farming community since the formation of Telangana state. Dr. M. Balram, Associate Dean, Agricultural College, Warangal enlightened the students about the achievements of Telangana state from the past 9 years in the field of Agriculture, Irrigation sources and increase of employment opportunities. Sri. Allam Bali Reddy who was a farmer, industrialist, Sarpanch (Mariyapuram), Chief Guest of today’s event spoke about his experiences and initiatives taken in the village by implementing all the Government schemes for the welfare of farming community which made it an ideal village for which he grabbed a National Award during the year 2020-21 and 23 awards from State level and district level and he motivated students by his fabulous speech. Later cultural events were performed by the students. Certificates were distributed to the student winners of literary competitions on essay writing, elocution and poster making and cultural competitions conducted on 02-06-2023 as part of Telangana Rashtra Avatarana Dashabdi Utsavalu. Smt. Ch. Yashaswini, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Plant Pathology proposed formal vote of thanks. All the teaching, non-teaching staff and students of Agricultural College, Warangal were participated in the programme.
