As per University Cir.Memo.No.1250/OP/A2/2024, dt:31.07.2024 of the Registrar, PJTSAU, plantation programme was done on 12.08.2024, involving all teaching and non-teaching staff. The event was inaugurated by Dr. M. Balram, Associate Dean, Agricultural College, Warangal by planting an Aonla sapling at Girls Hostel. Two hundred plant saplings, including Gomari (Gummadi Teku @ 50 No.), Java Plum (Allaneredu @ 50 No.), Amla (50 No.), Dalbergia sissoo (@20 No.) and Bauhinia (@30 No.), were procured from the Regional Forest Office, Hanamkonda and planted at various places in the campus. All the staff members have actively participated in planting the saplings. In addition, fox tail palms and bottle palms were planted for enhancing the beauty of the college as a part of this programme. Dr. M. Balram, Associate Dean, spoke about the importance of Van Mahotsav 2024 as it aligns with global efforts to combat climate change, preserve biodiversity, and promote a greener, healthier planet for future generations and asserted that, through active participation, individuals and communities can contribute to restoring ecological balance and ensuring sustainable development. He also emphasized on after care of the planted saplings to all the staff and students.
