Celebration of National Agricultural Education Day at College of Food Science and Technology, Rudrur on 03-12-2021

The National Agricural Education Day was celebrated at College of Food Science and Technology, Rudrur on 03.12.2021. The Associate Dean, Teaching staff and Students were participated in the event. On this occasion, about 106 students from Chaitanya Vocational Junior College, Bodhan, visited the college. During the visit, explained various equipment’s in the laboratories and their usefulness in the food processing industry to the students. Dr. R. Swamy, Associate Dean, College of Food Science & Technology, Rudrur, addressed the gathering and explained main objective of Agricultural Education Day. He explained various aspects of agriculture operations and its contribution towards development of the country. He explained about admission process of agricultural education system and its opportunities in near future. He also explained the important role of Agriculture and Indian Economy and also agri- entrepreneur’s development. He also explained about the importance of B. Tech (Food Technology) and its job opportunities. After this, the Staff and students of CFST were joined in online programme of Agricultural Education day celebrated by ICAR at 2:00 P.M. The programme was concluded with vote of thanks by Dr. R. Jayaprakash, Assistant Professor and OISA, CFST, Rudrur. All the precautionary measures like maintaining physical distance, wearing mask and sanitizing the hands were followed during the programme due to COVID 19 pandemic.
