Agricultural Education Day at KVK, Nizamabad, Rudrur on 03-12-2021
Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Nizamabad organized Agricultural Education Day to commemorate the birth anniversary of the first President of India, Rajendra Prasad at KVK to the students from Chaitanya vocational degree, Bodhan. Dr. S. Naveen Kumar, Programme, Coordinator enlightened the students on Agricultural Education and prospects of agriculture education, research and Extension. He stressed that to strengthen the future of agriculture in India, it is important to attract and encourage youngsters towards agriculture sector. Dr. B. Balaji Nayak, Senior Scientist & Head Explained the importance of agriculture sector in Nation's economic growth, detailed about the Five year Plans Educated School students and encourage them to choose agriculture as a profession by explaining the job prospects such as Scientists and Agri-entrepreneurs in agriculture and allied sectors. Dr. R. Swamy, Associate Dean, CFST, Rudrur stressed that about 60% of the population was directly depending on agriculture for their livelihood, he noted that the agriculture sector offers a lot of opportunities like food processing for innovative and intellectual students. And also explained the eligibility criteria for entering into teh Agriculture and allied courses offered by PJTSAU. Sri. P. Kishan, Principal, Chaitanya vocational degree, Bodhan encouraged teh students towards agricultural Education and entrepreneurship. Followed by Field visit to KVK demo units, RS&RRS research units and food processing labs at CFST.
