An Anti-Ragging awareness programme is organised at Auditorium, College of Agricultural Engineering, Kandi, Sangareddy on 15th December, 2023. The Programme started with welcome address by Dr. G. Manoj Kumar, Associate Dean, briefed about the anti-ragging measures undertaken in the college and requested the students keep the campus ragging free and insisted that, the University has zero tolerance towards ragging. He requested the students not to indulge in ragging and spoil their bright career. Sri. Mahesh Goud, Circle Inspector, Women Police Station Sangareddy has discusses about the Ragging and how it ruins the life of an individual. He cautioned all the students to abstain from ragging and shall treat the other students with dignity. Sri. J. Ramesh Kumar, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sangareddy district graced the programme as Chief Guest. Diploma (Agricultural Engineering) and B. Tech (Agricultural Engineering) students from all the years have attended this programme along with the teaching and non-teaching staff of College of Agricultural Engineering, Kandi, Sangareddy. Sri. J. Ramesh Kumar, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sangareddy instructed students not to involve in any kind of activity that may hurt the other fellow student physically and emotionally. He ascertained students about the cases of individuals who in the name of ragging have faced lot of problems in their career. He also laid emphasis on the legal punishments’ students will likely face when they involve in ragging activities and urged every student to make college as a ragging free campus. Later, the students taken up the pledge not to involve any kind of ragging issues in the college and ensured to make this campus a ragging free campus. They also thanked the chief guest for sparing his valuable time for interaction. Dr. N. Hari Assistant Professor & Officer In-charge Student Affairs ended the programme with a vote of thanks.
