Anti ragging day of 2023 was celebrated at College of Community Science, Saifabad on 12.8.2023 as part of Anti Ragging Week i.e. from 12.08.2023 to 18.08.2023. An orientation program on Anti ragging was organised to staff and students at Indoor auditorium, C.C.Sc, Hyderabad from 10.45 a.m. to 11.45 a.m. Dr.V.Vijaya Lakshmi, Dean and Associate Dean, Faculty of Community Science welcome the gathering. Ms. Uma Maheshwari, Sub Inspector of Police, She Teams, Hyderabad delivered a lecture on the status of Ragging in higher educational institutions across India. She discussed about various case studies related to incidences of ragging in India and the significance of formulation of laws against ragging. She enumerated on various UGC regulations against ragging, different IPC sections for criminalising ragging. She also sensitized about effects and consequences of ragging on youth and inspired everyone to strive to stop ragging. Later her team members distributed pamphlets related to stopping violence against women and children. After the session Dr.P.Sreedevi, OSA proposed vote of thanks to She team members, students and staff for their enthusiastic participation.
