APT, Tornala organized an Exposure Visit to Students of TGSWRS/JC/(Boys), Koheda, Siddipet on 25.02.2025

An exposure visit was organized by APT, Tornala to the students of TGSWRS/JC/(Boys), Koheda, Siddipet on 25.02.2025 with an objective to promote hands on experience in agricultural practices, create awareness about the importance of agriculture in our daily lives and expose students to different career options in agriculture field. Sri. L. Raja, Assistant Professor, APT, Tornala has welcomed the students and gave a brief note on farms and facilities of APT, Tornala. Later, Sri. L. Raja, Assistant Professor, APT, Tornala has explained about diploma programme, Agril. Engineering lab, different crops grown, different Agricultural practices followed like intercropping in mango orchard, seed production in sunflower and postharvest management in redgram. Ms. Nikitha, TA (Entomology), APT, Tornala gave an overview about the crop protection laboratory of APT, important pest and diseases of major crops and their management strategies and vermicompost unit. Students gained a deeper understanding of agricultural practices and their significance. 07 teachers, 120 students of TGSWRS/JC/(Boys), Koheda, Siddipet, have participated in the programme.
