Agriculture Polytechnic, Tornala organized a Farmer-Student-Scientist Interaction Meet to commemorate University Foundation Day on 03-09-2021

The students and faculty of the Agriculture Polytechnic, Tornala celebrated University Foundation Day on 03-09-2021 by inviting the farmers and duly taking the necessary precautions. On this occasion an exhibition of various technologies like rain water harvesting, Mulching in crops, Soil testing & Fertilizer Management, Solar farming, Greenhouse technology, Integrated crop management, Integrated farming systems, Biogas preparation, Crop residue management and preparation of composts etc., was arranged for farmers and the programme was continued with a farmer-student–scientist interaction session on Best Management Practices in Agriculture. A good interaction was held on problems and prospects of direct sown rice, weed management practices and control of various pest and diseases. Dr S. Sridevi, Principal coordinated the programme. Dr. E. Srinivas and Sri A. Satish guided the students in interacting with the farmers. In the afternoon session all students joined virtual celebrations of the University Foundation day.
