Distribution of mustard seed and participation in field day on FMC products in paddy, cotton and maize was taken up by Agricultural Research Station and DAATTC, Karimnagar at adopted village Nagulamallial of Kothapally Mandal of Karimnagar district on October 20th, 2022. Dr.G.Usharani welcomed the dignitaries on to the dias and briefed the importance and different varieties of mustard. Dr. P.Madhukar, Scientist (Agro.) detailed the package of practices of mustard as the farmers are cultivating mustard for the first time. Dr.Rajendra Prasad, Scientist (Crop Protection) has described the pests and diseases of mustard and the control measures. Dr. K.Madan Mohan Reddy, Coordinator DAATTC has described the varietal characters of NRCH-B 101 mustard variety and cultivation aspects. The FMC Area Marketing Manager, Sri. Manichander has detailed the FMC Paddy, Cotton, Maize product portfolio of usage, dosage and benefits and suggested the farmers to go for need based usage. The demonstration paddy plot of one acre of Katla Rajamallu with the usage of FMC products versus control of beside were visited and found the treated plot in good condition, without any dead hearts, chaffy grains or white ear heads as compared to the control. In paddy, Coragen @ 10ml/ac for nursery and 60ml/ac at panicle emergency (40+ 65 DAT) and Fertera at 1st phase of stem borer control (dead hearts), 4kg per acre are recommended. Rogor + Zinatra are used for controlling both early sucking pests & lepidopteran pests control @ 500ml/ac and with Zinatra, zinc deficiencies will control and plant looks very healthy and it will give immediate results because of having high percentage of Zinatra. The demonstration cotton plot of one acre has got more flowers, squares, retention of the flowers-bolls and without any effect of sucking pests, bollworms, number of bolls were also very high with FMC product usage compared with control plot and may result in higher yields of 2-3 quintals. In Cotton, with application of FMC Benevia at early stage of crop at 30-40 days stage will help the plant to grow strong and healthy, lays foundation to the plant and nodes come close together. Better branching from below makes the plant very vigorous and more nodes will come, improve the number of branches, squares, bolls, reduces the stress and control biting and sap-sucking insects on tender plants because of its cross spectrum insecticide. Benivia @ 360ml/ac offers superior fruit quality and better fruit size along with high yield, which will increase yield upto 2 to 3 quintals. Also, it is a green label chemical and is very safe chemical to plants as well as natural enemies. The demonstration maize plot of one acre of Sumanth with the usage of FMC products is in good condition, without any dead hearts and any FAW infestation. The Village Sarpanch, Sri Naini Prasad, Mandal Agricultural Officer, Ranjith, AEO Lalitha, FMC company staff, Marketing Coordinator, Rajkumar and Sales Officer - Venkateswarlu and around 126 farmers have participated in the programme.
