Distribution of Maize Minikit KNMH-4191, Frontline demonstration of PU-31, Benchmark survey of farmers and field diagnostic visit in cotton was organized by Agricultural Research Station and DAATTC, Karimnagar at adopted village Nagulamallial of Kothapally Mandal of Karimnagar district on November 11th, 2022. Dr.G.Usharani welcomed the dignitaries on to the dias and briefed the varietal characteristics of KNMH-4191 and good agricultural practices for reaping higher benefits in maize. Also, as a part of front line demonstration of PU-31, the seed was distributed to the farmers and the cultivation practices detailed. Dr.Rajendra Prasad, Scientist (Crop Protection) has described the pests and diseases of maize and black gram and the control measures to be followed during pest and disease incidence. All the information pertaining to the Bench mark survey of the village and farmers was collected. Field diagnostic visit to the cotton field of Smt. Balamma was taken up and observed severe incidence of pink boll worm and grey mildew. Grey mildew was suggested to be controlled using Copper oxy chloride @ 3g/lit. Pink boll worm was suggested to be controlled using Emamectin benzoate @ 0.4 g/lit or Prophenophos @ 2 ml/lit. The Village Sarpanch, Sri Naini Prasad, Agricultural Extension Officer, Ms. Lalitha, Village Panchayat Secretary, Smt. D. Sushmitha, Ward Member Sri. Godhala Nagesh, Rythu Samanvaya Samithi Convenor Sri. Godhala Chandraiah and around 50 farmers have participated in the programme.
