The village Nagulamallial of Kothapally Mandal of Karimnagar District has been officially announced as the Adopted Village of Agricultural Research Station, Karimnagar and organized training programme on remedial measures for different crops due to heavy rains and diagnostic field visits in the damaged fields due to heavy rains on 20th July, 2022. Dr.G.Usharani Scientist (Pl.Br.) welcomed the dignitaries on to the dias. Dr.G.Manjulatha, Principal Scientist (Agro.) and Head presided over the meeting and provided the insight into the reasons for selecting the village as Adopted Village and also briefed the activities that will be taken up in during the adoption period. Dr. K.Madan Mohan Reddy, Coordinator (DAATTC) provided awareness on High Density Planting of Cotton and cotton seed was distributed to some of the farmers willing to promote High Density Planting in the village. enlightened the precautions to be taken in the paddy nurseries damaged due to heavy rains. Dr.G.Usharani, Scientist (Pl.Br.) described the mechanisms to be taken up for damaged plants in maize to recover. Dr.M.Rajendra Prasad, DAATTC Scientist (Crop Protection) has detailed the farmers about the plant protection measures that have to be taken up to recover the plants from the adverse weather conditions. In the meeting, diaries were distributed for noting down important points/ recommendations given by the scientists. Later, diagnostic field visits to the damaged fields of paddy nurseries, maize and cotton were taken up and necessary suggestions were given to the farmers. Dr.P.Madhukar Rao, Scientist (Agro.) Sarpanch Sri. Nayani Prasad, Mandal Agricultural Officer, Sri Ranjith and Agricultural Extension Officer, Lalitha and around 50 farmers participated in the programme.
