Audio Conference with the farmers of Kumram Bheem Asifabad (Aspirational) District on Measures to be taken for cultivating Yasangi Crops on 12-11-2020
Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Bellampalli conducted an interaction programme through Audio Conference in collaboration with Reliance Foundation with the farmers of Ankusapur, Vellatam villages of Asifabad mandal, Babasagar, Balaji Ankoda, Dimda, Karjelli, Manepalli, Munjampalli, Pothapalli villages of Chinthalamanepalli mandal and Hathini, Konchavelli villages of Dahegaon mandal of Kumram Bheem Asifabad district on “Measures to be taken for cultivating Yasangi Crops” on 12th November, 2020. Dr. M. Rajeshwar Naik, Senior Scientist & Head (Programme Coordinator) and his team interacted and addressed the farmers on measures to be taken for cultivating yasangi crops and delivered the need based advisories to the farming community as mentioned below:
Paddy
- revailing weather conditions are favourable for false smut and suggested the farmers to spray with Propiconozole 1 ml /lit of water within 7 days.
- Suggested the farmers to take the measures for yasangi rice nursery management and created awareness about the Direct seeded rice.
Cotton
- To prevent square and flower drop in cotton, spray planofix @ 2 ml per 10 liter of water twice at 10 days interval.
- Incidence of pink boll warm is noticed in cotton. To monitor install 4 pheromone traps per acre and control measures may be taken up after observing 7-8 adults insects for consecutive three days. To control, spray thiodicarb @ 1.5 g per liter (or) chlorantraniliprole 9.3+ lambda cyhalothrin 4.6 @ 0.5 ml per lit of water.
- Prevailing weather conditions are congenial for the incidence of leaf spot and sucking pests in cotton. To control spray carbendazim @ 1g and Acephate @ 1.5 g per liter of water.
Redgram
-
Prevailing weather conditions are favourable for flower drop. To control, application of 1 or 2 irrigations are required. If there is flower drop due to water stress in redgram, Spray 20 gr. urea or 10 gr. of multi K per liter of water.
- The prevailing weather conditions are favourable for leaf Webber in Red gram. To control, Spray Monocrotophos @ 1.6 ml or Quinalphos @ 2 ml per litre of water.
- Prevailing weather conditions are congenial for maruca and helicoverpa in redgram. Spray chlorpyriphos @2 5 ml or novaluron @ 0.75 ml along with Dichlorvos @ 2mi per liter of water.
- If Helicoverpa is noticed, adopt the following measures
- Arrange 10-15 bird perches per acre to facilitate picking up of larvae
-Arrange 4 pheromone traps per acre to monitor the pest
- Spray 5 % NSKE to kill theeggs and early instar larvae
VEGETABLE
- Prevailing weather conditions are suitable to sowing of cold loving leafy vegetable crops like palak, broccoli and also suitable to carrot, sweet potato, beetroot, onion and potato.
- Prevailing weather conditions are congenial for sucking pests. If the incidence of sucking pests is noticed in vegetable crops. To control, spray Dimethoate @2 ml or Acephate @ 1.5 g per litre of water.
- If the incidence of early blight is noticed in tomato crop in present weather conditions. To control spray pyraclostrobin @ 1gr/ lit of water.
- The Prevailing weather conditions are favourable for white fly in bhendi crop. To control spray Difenthiuron 50 wp @ 1.25 gr. lit or Flonicamid 0.3 gr. lit of water is recommended.
Chilli
- Prevailing weather conditions are congenial for the incidence of bacterial leaf spot diseases in Chillies. Tocontrol, spray Copper-Oxy-Chloride @ 30 g + Plantomycin @ 1 g in 10 liters of water twice in weekly interval.
- Prevailing weather conditions are favourable for Thrips in chilli. To control, spray Acephate @ 1.5 g /lit of water is recommended.
For this programme Dr. Shivakrishna Kota, SMS (Agril. Extension), Sri. A. Nagaraju, SMS (Plant Protection), Dr. I. Thirupathi, SMS (Crop Production), Smt. U. Sravanthi, SMS (Horticulture), Dr. Sathish, SMS (Agromet) and Sri. Jayawardhan, Coordinator (Reliance Foundation) were participated addressed the farmers in their respective disciplines and 35 number of farmers were participated in the session.
