Awareness programme on Agro-Forestry and Boundary plantations and distribution of inputs at adopted village, Veldurthi, Jagtial on 17-08-2022
- Reginal Agricultural Research Station, Polasa, Jagtial organized awareness programme on Agro-Forestry and Boundary plantations and distribution of inputs (PSB) at adopted village, Veldurthi, Jagtial on 17.08.22.
- Ch. Venkata Ramana, Plantation Officer, Jagtial, Sirpur paper mills Ltd., Khagaznagar created awareness about advantages of agroforestry. He enlightened about subsidy provision and buy back agreements that are available for Subabul, Neelagiri, Casuarina plantations from paper mill and profitability of these plantations. In addition, he informed that they will provide technical support regarding nursery management and cultivation practices of plantations.
- Dr. S. Omprakash, Scientist (Entomology) briefed about pest management practices of paddy and turmeric.
- Dr. P. Ravi, Scientist (Soil science and Agril. Chemistry) explained about the fertilizer management practices in paddy and turmeric crops. He also enlightened about importance of PSB application in the fields which is capable of solubilizing inorganic phosphorus from insoluble compounds.
- Dr. D.A. Rajini Devi, Scientist (Agril. Economics) explained about the role of e-NAM in agricultural marketing and enlightened about e-NAM mobile application.
- Later, Phosphate Solubilizing Bacteria (PSB), bio-fertilizer liquid formulation was distributed to vegetable farmers (30) (transplanting Chilli, Tomato and Brinjal crops).
- Later, visited paddy minikits JGL-33124 and JGL-27356 fields and observed that crop is at good condition.
- In this programme, Dr. D.A. Rajini Devi, Scientist (Ag. Economics), i/c of adopted village, Dr. S. Omprakash, Scientist (Entomology), Dr. P. Ravi, Scientist (Soil science and Agril. Chemistry), Sri. Ch. Venkata Ramana, Plantation Officer, Ramya, AEO, Praveen Goud, Sarpanch, and 31 No. of farmers were participated.
