Awareness Programme on Deep Summer Ploughings, Soil Sampling Analysis and Weather Forecast for the upcoming season was organized by Agricultural Research Station, Karimnagar at Adopted Village, Nagulamallial of Kothapally mandal of Karimnagar district on May, 31st, 2023. Dr. G. Usharani Scientist (Plant Breeding) and Adopted Village Incharge has welcomed the dignitaries onto the dias and briefed the essence of deep summer ploughings in cherishing the natural elements i.e. soil and water and also informed the gathering that the act of summer ploughings will considerably reduce the incidence of weeds and pests and diseases attacks in the forthcoming season. Dr.P.Madhukar Rao has informed the farmers on the weather forecast for the upcoming season to be a drought season and suggested to go for preponement of the season to overcome all the adverse weather conditions like hailstorms, drought, etc. As a part of knowledge material sharing, Pamphlets pertaining to the weather forecast in paddy were also distributed to the farmers. Dr. M. Rajendra Prasad, Scientist (Crop Protection), DAATTC, Karimnagar has enlightened the farmers with the significance of soil sampling and the mode of soil sample collection in their fields. All the farmers were asked to collect the soil samples from their fields following all the suggested precautions and submit for analysis. The Village Sarpanch, Sri. Nayani Prasad, Village Panchayat Secretary Smt.D.Sushmitha and around 52 farmers participated in the programme.
