Conducted Awareness cum Demonstration on Machine Transplanting in Rice at Garkuntapalem village by KVK,Kampasagar on 08-07-2020

Awareness programme cum demonstration in Cluster fields on Machine Transplanting in Rice was conducted by KVK, Kampasagar at Garkuntapalem village on 8.07.2020. Dr. M.A. Aariff Khan, Programme Coordinator,KVK, Kampasagar briefed about the importance and necessity of machine transplanting to overcome labour shortage present days. Dr.T.Bharath, SMS (Crop Production) explained about machine transplanting will facilitate Fast, efficient (1–2 ha/d), ensures uniform spacing and plant density, with less labour and ensures timely planting. Seedlings establish fast, tiller vigorously and mature uniformly over normal traditional practice. Dr.G. Satyanarayana Reddy, Secretary, KVK, Gaddipally, KVK Scientists and 20 Farmers were participated. Farmers showing interest and coming forward to use machine transplanting with facility providing by university machine transplanter.
