KVK, Bellampalli, Mancherial District sanctioned with Project on IRM: Dissemination of Pink Boll Worm Management Strategies during the vanakalam, 2022-23 by Central Institute of Cotton Research, Nagpur. Under this project KVK, Bellampalli selected a cluster of 25 acres of Cotton of 25 No. of farmers at Akkalapalli Village of Bheemini Mandal of Mancherial District. In this connection, KVK, Bellampalli organized a farmers awareness programme and method demonstration on Installation of pheromone traps for the management of pink boll worm and distribution of inputs under Project on IRM: Dissemination of Pink Boll Worm Management Strategies during the vanakalam, 2022-23 by KVK, Bellampalli, Mancherial District on 9th September, 2022. As a part of this programme, Dr. M. Rajeshwar Naik, Programme Coordinator, KVK, Bellampalli addressed the farmers about the IRM technological interventions and importance of critical inputs. As a part of the programme KVK, Bellampalli distributed 2 No. of pheromone traps with 6 No. of lures along with 1 litre of Azadiractin 1500 ppm to 25 no. of farmers. Later, conducted a method demonstration on installation of pheromone traps for the monitoring of pink boll worm moth activity. KVK Scientists Participated: Sri. A.
