Awareness raising pilot workshop for farmers on KUSUM Component on 28 August 2024 at KVK, Wyra

KVK, Wyra has organized workshop on 28 August at KVK, Wyra to create awareness among the farming community on benefits of the the scheme. The Programme Coordinator initiated the programme with the introductory remark that this programme is aimed to illuminate the path to energy security for Indian farmers, and importance of renewable sources of energy in the present scenario. NSFI, from Ministry of new and Renewable energy address the gathering on importance of this scheme, objectives of the scheme for energy production and enhancing farm income and asked look it as business perspective, he further briefed on different types of agri voltaic and systems suitable for the farmers, cost economics, income generation, initial investment, and suitable crops that can be grown under panel. Dr Jessie Suneetha pointed about the solar energy as need of the hour. Dr. V. Chaitanya highlighted that, as the natural resources are depleting due growing population, demand for electricity is also increasing respectively this could lead to increase in the price, so it is important to conserve the natural resources, use solar energy and make it profitable oriented business. In the end Smt. P.S.M Phanisri solar pumps can assist our farmers in assisting eco-friendly irrigation as these are capable of generating safer energy. In addition, the pump sets comprise an energy power grid that generates more energy than diesel-driven pumps. Farmers will be able to sell the extra power to Government directly and enhance their income. A interactive session was happened among the representative and farmers where the queries and doubts from the farmers were answered by the representatives.
