As per instructions of Director of Extension, PJTSAU, Hyderabad the KVK, Kampasagar organized and conducted one day “Awareness Programme on Agricultural Marketing Infrastructure Scheme” with the financial assistance of CCS National Institute of Agricultural Marketing, Jaipur, India at KVK, Kampasagar on 20.02.2020. Dr. M.A. Aariff Khan, Programme Coordinator, KVK, Kampasagar explained about main objectives of the Agriculture Marketing Infrastructure Scheme (AMIS) and problems faced by the farmers in marketing agriculture produce and importance of marketing in getting better price in present scenario. Chief Guest Sri. Srinivas Reddy, AMC, Chairman, Miryalaguda, Guest of Honour Sri. Janaiah AMC, Chairman, Nidamanoor and other Guests Sri. K. Jagadishwar Reddy, ADA, Haliya, Dr. I. Swarnalatha Devi, Principal Scientist and Head, ARS, Kampasagar, Dr.Sumalini, Vice Principal, APT, Kampasagar, Sri.Jagadeshwar Babu, Director Marketing, Miryalaguda addressed the gathering about importance of Minimum Support Price (MSP), necessity of Farmers Producer Organization (FPO’s) cold storage units, loans and subsidies under the scheme, maintaining quality produce, functioning of e-NAM, need of construction of Gowdowns, value addition of rice and redgram produce. The total number of farmers (48No.) including FPO members and stakeholders participated in the Programme. All Scientists of KVK also involved in the programme. Finally, farmers feedback was taken and programme was concluded with vote of thanks.
