Awareness programme on ‘Corona’ (Covid-19) virus disease at Agricultural College,Sircilla on 06-03-2020

An awareness programme on ‘Corona’ (Covid-19) viral disease was organized as a part of NSS activity at Agricultural College, Sircilla wherein the Medical Officer, staff and students have participated. Dr. R. Sathish, Assistant Professor (Ento.) and NSS Programme Officer briefed the gathering and explained need of organizing the programme in the wake of numerous deaths all over the world. Later Dr. S. Radhakrishna, Medical officer & Nodal officer for Corona viral disease in Rajanna Sircilla district explained in detailed about the symptoms of the disease and precautionary measures to be taken by the people to avoiding the infection from the corona virus. He also briefed about the treatment being provided to the individuals at Sircilla. Dr. G. Samuel, Associate Dean and the wardens, Dr. V. Bharathi, Professor (Pl. Path.) and Dr. CH. Ramesh, Assistant Professor (Agro.) have suggested measures to be taken by the students and to avoid panic situation among them regarding the disease. The programme concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by the Dr. K. Rajesh, Assistant Professor (CPHY.) All the staff and students have participated in the programme.
