Awareness programme on organic fertilizers at adopted village, Meedikonda of RARS, Warangal on 28-08-2021

Regional Agricultural Research Station, Warangal has conducted an awareness programme on Organic fertilizers application at adopted village, Meedikonda on 28-08-2021. Dr. B. Anil Kumar, Senior Scientist (Crop protection, DAATTC, Warangal) has elucidated the importance and benefits of organic fertilizers to the farmers to maintain the quality of output, he also explained the recommended quantity of application of farm yard manure, vermicompost, green manure, poultry manure etc., to different crops and their preparation at farmer level. Smt. D. Ashwini, Scientist (Plant Pathology) has explained the impact of organic fertilizers on incidence of pests and diseases and also recommended the control measures to be followed for different diseases and pests in cotton and paddy crops. Dr. K. Rajendra Prasad, Scientist (Plant Breeding) has given the suggestions to be followed in paddy seed production in the village. At the end, doubts raised by the farmers are clarified by the scientists. In this programme Agriculture Department Officials, MAO, A. Nagaraju, AEO, Smt. Usha and 40 farmers were participated.
