Awareness Programme on Production Technologies of Redgram and Input Distribution to the CFLD farmers under NFSM Scheme Organised by KVK, Palem on 12-06-2020

KVK, Palem, Nagarkurnool dist. has been organized "Awareness Programme on Production Technologies of Redgram and Input Distribution to the Cluster Front Line Demonstration (CFLD) farmers under National Food Security Mission" on 12.06.2019. The Programme was chaired by Dr. Avil Kumar, ADR, RARS, Palem and he explained the best management practices of Redgram to the farmers for getting more yields. Distributed critical inputs like Redgram seed (3kg), seed treatment chemicals like Trichoderma virde (30g), Rhizobium (500g), for weed management pre-emergence herbicide Pendimethalin (1 litre) to the each of 50 farmers of the adopted villages like Khanapur, Nallavelly, Manthati and Gorita. Dr. T. Prabhakar Reddy, Programme Coordinator, KVK, Palem briefed about the CFLD programme. Cautioned the farmers to go for spraying after pest infestation is high (After economic threshold level) and fallow all the integrated pest management practices for getting of higher returns. Programme in-charge Mr.B. Rajashekar (SMS-Agril. Extension) explained about the role of each critical inputs and its importance for getting of higher yields. Mr. M. Rajashekhar (SMS-Plant Protection) demonstrated the seed treatment to the farmers for effective management of Wilt. In this programme all the staff of KVK, Palem and 50 farmers from cluster villages like Khanapur 15 , Manthati 10, Nallavelli 15 and Gorita 10 were participated.
