Awareness programme on Weather Based Agro Advisories and popularization of Meghdooth mobile app to Farmers of Borraipalem village by KVK, Kampasagar on 01-07-2020

Awareness programme on Weather Related Agro Advisories and popularization of Meghdooth mobile app was conducted by KVK, Kampasagar at Borraipalem (V), Tripuraram (M), Nalgonda Dist on 01.07.2020. Dr. M.A. Aariff Khan, Programme Coordinator and Head KVK, Kampasagar briefed about the importance of weather parameters and weather based farming in agriculture. Later, Dr. T. Bharath, SMS (Crop Production) briefed about field operations in rainfed crops such as fertilizer application and chemical spraying based on weather forecast. Finally, A. Sai Kiran, SMS (Agrometeorology) explained role of weather in Agriculture and importance of weather forecast in avoiding crop damage or loss due to abnormal weather events by excess rainfall, prolonged dry spells, hailstorms, heat injury and popularized the use of Meghdooth mobile app, which helps the famers to know their location specific weather conditions and Crop Advisories. A total of 20 Farmers were participated.
