Awareness Programme on Setting up of Agri- Entrepreneurship by Agri-graduates organized in Dept. of Entomology, College of Agriculture, Rajendranagar on 25-09-2021

An exclusive interaction cum awareness programme to promote Agri- Entrepreneurship in Agri-graduates was conducted to final year AELP students attached to Biocontrol programme in the Department of Entomology College of Agriculture, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad on 25-09-2021. The programme was graced by Dr. C .Narendra Reddy, Associate Dean, College of Agriculture, Rajandranagar. Speaking at the inaugural, Dr. Narendra Reddy briefed the students about the importance of the AELP programme and enlightened students that awareness on emerging technologies followed by information on success stories will help in motivating students to go for Agri- Entrepreneurship. The Director of AELP programme Dr. S.J.Rahman, Professor & University Head Entomology, said that depending on companies for jobs was the yesteryears objective of graduates and all the professional college graduates are eyeing on stratups and innovative business models. The Agri-graduates should follow the current trend along with other professional graduates and also said Agri-graduates have comparatively larger scope than any other professional in the sector. Dr. Lakshminarayana, Founder chairman & Director of AGBIO, interacted with students on the subject of setting up of Agri- Entrepreneurship its scope and how to become a successful entrepreneur by citing his 40 years of experience. The programme was attended by Principal scientist, Dr.Vasudev Rao, Dr. Ajay Kumar (AGBIO), Dr. R.Sunitha Devi, Dr. P.Rajanikanth and Dr.S.Upendhar along with final year AELP studnets.
