Vigilance Awareness Week is one of the Participative Vigilance initiatives of the Central Vigilance Commission to fight corruption in the country. It is an awareness building and outreach measure which aims to bring together all the citizens of India. It is observed to create greater sensitivity about the need for ethics and transparency in governance and public administration. The Commission endeavours to promote integrity and eradicate corruption with the active support and participation of all citizens. Every year ‘Vigilance Awareness Week’ is observed in the week in which the birthday of Bharat Ratna Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, The Iron man of India falls in. The theme for this year is "Culture of Integrity for Nation's Prosperity" serves as a reminder that integrity is the foundation of our nation's economic prosperity and social well-being. Integrity promotes inclusive growth, ensuring development benefits reach all sections of society. As citizens, there is a collective responsibility to be steadfast to values of integrity in our daily lives. Through the actions of the people of India that are based on honesty, fairness and transparency, a stronger and more prosperous nation can be built. In this context, KVK, Wyra organised oath taking activities at the institute and various villages in participations with its scientists Dr. Jessie Suneetha W, Dr. V. Chaitanya and Mrs. P. S. M. Phanisri, technical and non-teaching staff as well as IV BSc (Agriculture) RAWEP students for creating awareness farming community.
